Refund Policy

A legal disclaimer

At Riteway Psychiatry Services, we are committed to providing high-quality mental health care. Our refund policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and compliant with applicable laws and insurance regulations.

1. Insurance-Based Services (Medicaid, Medicare, and Other Payers)

If you are covered by Medicaid, Medicare, or another third-party payer, refunds are not issued for services paid by insurance unless there is an overpayment due to billing errors.
Any overpayments identified after claims are processed will be refunded to the appropriate party (payer or patient) within 30 business days of confirmation.
Copayments and deductibles are non-refundable once the service has been rendered.

2. Private Pay Services

Refunds for self-pay clients are considered only if payment was made in error or the service was not provideddue to a cancellation by the clinic.
If a session is missed without appropriate notice (less than 24 hours), the session fee may be forfeited as per our cancellation policy.
Refunds will not be issued for dissatisfaction with clinical outcomes, as therapeutic results cannot be guaranteed.

3. Prepaid Services

If a patient prepays for a session and cancels with more than 24 hours’ notice, the payment may be refunded or credited toward a future session.
Prepaid packages (if offered) are non-transferable and non-refundable after partial use unless cancellation is due to clinic closure or medical necessity confirmed by documentation.

4. Telehealth Sessions

Refunds will not be provided for technical issues on the client’s side (e.g., poor internet connection or device problems). The session may be rescheduled at the provider's discretion.

5. Requesting a Refund

All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to:

Please include the patient’s full name, date of service, and reason for the request. Approved refunds will be processed within 10–15 business days.
